This high rubber powder is mainly used in general-purpose ABS. It can be directly mixed and granulated with SAN. LG 80HF and CHIMEI SAN-168 are recommended because their nitrile content provides excellent compatibility with high rubber powder. The recommended mixing ratio is 23–28:77–72, which helps achieve the desired physical properties.
It can also be used to produce modified ABS products when high rubber powder and SAN are blended together with additional additives. For flame-retardant ABS, flame retardants and flame-retardant synergists are required. A typical formulation contains 30–40% high rubber powder and 60–70% SAN, flame retardants, and additives.
Additional heat-resistant components are required for heat-resistant ABS products. For ABS products containing fiberglass, additional fiberglass fillers should be added.
